Le Butcherettes's A Raw Youth features the band's most straightforward sound yet. Produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, the twelve songs on the record hit heavy and manifest within you long after the record is over. The album features guest appearances from Iggy Pop and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Thanks in part to front-woman, Teri Gender Bender’s highly personal and relevant lyrics, the album has received much critical acclaim. Consequence of Sound praises the record, noting that A Raw Youth, “marks Le Butcherettes’ triumphant entrance to the mainstream rock arena, accomplished with no compromise to their identity.” All Music adds, “There is no band like out there like Le Butcherettes and A Raw Youth proves it.” A Raw Youth was released on September 18th, 2015 via Mike Patton's (Faith No More) label Ipecac.
